Virtual online event -Wednesday 16th February – hosted by Great Yarmouth Borough Council
Plans to build Sizewell C, a new nuclear power station, are currently being considered by the Government. A final decision is expected in the late Spring of 2022. The project, planned for the Suffolk coast, is in line with the Energy White Paper ‘Powering our Net Zero Future’ and talks with EDF on a funding model have been approved by the Prime Minister.
As we await the final decision, the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Sizewell C are working to build a robust local and regional supply chain to ensure the East of England benefits from this once-in-a-lifetime economic boost. To do this, the Sizewell C Supply Chain Team is asking interested companies from all sectors to come forward and speak to us about the opportunity. It is expected that around £4.4bn will be spent across East Anglia throughout this project and it is our role to ready local business from all sectors to understand the role they will play and how to be ready for the challenge of Sizewell C and beyond, leaving a legacy for our region.
