The Sizewell C project sponsored Young Person of the Year at the 2018 Inspire Suffolk Awards held in Ipswich recently.
As always witht his event, there were some really genuine and inspiring stories of local people overcoming obstacles in ther live, including unemployment and homelessness.
One such story was that of Sam who overcame both, and through sheer determination joined a training scheme which led to full-time employment – and a place of his own in which to live.
Sam was ably assisted throught a difficult period in his life by the excellent Inspire Suffolk scheme. The picture shows EDF Energy’s Tom McGarry presenting Sam with his Inspire Young Person of the Year award.
