Nuclear Readiness Programme

Funding Support for New Anglia Businesses

Funding support is available for local businesses based in the New Anglia LEP region (Norfolk and Suffolk) to undertake training to develop the skills needed to maximise the opportunities in nuclear.

The project is funded by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), through the Innovative Project Fund and facilitated by the National Skills Academy Nuclear (NSAN), with delivery through NSAN’s Eastern flagship delivery centre, West Suffolk College.

The programme will provide up to 40% funding support to engage and equip businesses in the New Anglia LEP region to maximise the benefits from nuclear site development and operations.  The funding will support the upskilling and further development of businesses who may currently be, or are looking to be, a part of the supply chain for Sizewell B, as well as maximising the opportunities created by Sizewell C.  The training will enable local companies to upskill their workforce and empower them to bid for a wider range of contracts in the nuclear industry both across the UK and internationally.

Businesses who are based within the locality that would like to take advantage of the funding on offer to enter, or increase activity in, the nuclear industry, can contact NSAN for guidance on the most appropriate.
