Feedback on Sizewell C proposal is presented to Community Leaders

Sizewell C Community Forum – Stage 2 consultation feedback

Over 100 Community representatives and members of the public attended the Sizewell C Community Forum at the Riverside Centre, Stratford St Andrew. The Forum examined issues raised during Stage 2 Consultation and the next steps leading up to Stage 3 Consultation.

Feedback from the Stage 2 was described by Jim Crawford the Sizewell C Project Developement Director as “High in volume and quality from a wide range of residents, community groups and their representatives.” Jim also spoke about the need for Sizewell C, the commitment to take time to get the plans and mitigation right, and the importance of proving the business case for the project.

Key areas of the feedback were presented by Carly Vince, EDF Energy Chief Planning officer  who took the group through key areas of feedback: the main development site; accommodation campus; transport strategy; and benefits to the local community.
