“Suffolk Chamber of Commerce remains a positive supporter of the Upper Orwell Crossings project as it would improve the freer flow of traffic movement around and through the town both on a day-to-day basis and as an additional diversion route when the Orwell Bridge is shut.
“At the same time, we appreciate Suffolk County Council’s financial prudence in reviewing the project at this stage and the additional two months granted during which they will look to address the over-spend and source new funding.
“Suffolk Chamber stands ready to continue to assist in this endeavour by offering its lobbying and campaigning experience and networks and engaging our members to do likewise.
